A fictional house of hair, built for a real portfolio.

Our Story

Hair that holds its own standard.

Velour was imagined as a Lagos-born hair house — single-donor raw units and considered wig-making, finished with the same obsessive attention whether the piece costs ₦40,000 or ₦300,000.

Every unit on this site is fictional. Velour exists purely as a design and development exercise: a full storefront built to demonstrate how a real hair brand's e-commerce experience could look, feel and function, end to end.

What Guides The House

Three standards, every unit

01

Single-donor raw

Every bundle traceable to one donor, so the cuticle stays aligned and tangle-free.

02

Never stripped

No harsh chemical stripping, which is why colour and curl pattern hold past the fourth wash.

03

Built to last

Units designed to be re-worn, re-styled and re-loved well beyond a single install.

About This Project

Why this site exists

This storefront was designed and built by Naomi as a sample project under NaeLab, showcasing front-end development and e-commerce UX: a hero built around a real editorial choice, live material filters, a persistent cart drawer, dynamic product pages, a reserve-on-sold-out flow, and a lightweight admin panel for managing announcements, sales and stock.

In this demo, everything runs on the browser alone. A live version of this build would connect the same interface to Paystack for checkout and Firebase / Firestore to store products, orders and customer data centrally.

Velour is not a real brand, and no personal data collected here leaves your browser.
